Honda Civic Accord Kicker Plug and Play Factory Subwoofer Replacement
Honda Civic Accord Kicker Plug and Play Factory Subwoofer Replacement
Description
If your factory subwoofer is blown this kicker plug and play subwoofer is a great replacement to get the bass back in your vehicle. If your factory subwoofer is working and you want more bass in your vehicle you will have to upgrade the subwoofer and the amplifier powering the subwoofer to get more bass. You will not get more bass by simply upgrading the subwoofer. The power source powering the subwoofer needs to be upgraded also.
Included in this plug and play subwoofer package is the adapter needed to mount the aftermarket sub in the factory location and a harness to connect to the factory subwoofer connector so the install is as easy as possible. The subwoofer has two pairs of 4ohm voice coils that are wired in parallel to present a final impedance of 2ohms to the amplifier. This subwoofer is compatible with your factory amplifier or our plug and play amplifier.
When replacing your factory subwoofer in your Honda there are three main characteristics that your new subwoofer must have. One is it must be a free air subwoofer as the factory subwoofer is not fully enclosed. Two is that it must be 8 inches and not exceed 6 inches in depth. The last one is that the new aftermarket subwoofers final impedance must be two ohms. This subwoofer meets all of those criteria and fits into the factory location with the use of an adapter bracket. If you are replacing the subwoofer in the 2012-2016 Honda Accord you might need to modify the factory opening by bending the metal to help the subwoofer wiring fit into place. If you are installing this subwoofer in a 2006-2011 Honda Civic you will have to make modifications to the metal around the subwoofer to complete the installation.
