Upgrade to clear highs and better mids with this JBL speaker package. As one of the biggest speaker manufacturers in the world, JBL knows how to make great speakers that are easy to install. This JBL set of component speakers comes with all the hardware and accessories you need to make your installation plug and play. There is no wire cutting or splicing. There is no drilling into metal or cutting any metal to complete the installation.
These speakers work perfectly with the factory sound system in your Honda. If your Honda is the Si or EX-L trim these speakers will also work great with your factory amplifier. If you chose to upgrade this speaker package also work great with our plug and play amplifier packages. These speakers fit into the factory locations with the assistance of our speaker spacer. The new tweeters clip into the factory housing with the use of our tweeter cup.

The JBL speakers in this package have a greater cone surface area than the factory speakers resulting in louder output from the JBL speakers while using the same power as your old speakers. The JBL speakers are also more efficient than the factory speakers allowing them to be clearer and respond better to the factory audio systems power. The JBL speakers also have a larger voice coil and better frequency response that allows them to play lower bass frequencies than the factory speakers.

pretty minor change and the bass honestly feels weaker than what my speakers were in my stock honda
Hey Dude! Thanks for the honest feedback, I want to try and explain what is going on because you're not imagining it.
Honda factory door speakers typically carry a pronounced boost around 80–110Hz, and that boost is what a stock system leans on for its bass.
The JBL woofers are designed for control and accurate sound reproduction instead, so the same track has tighter, more responsive bass but less of that exaggerated boom. The measured output of the component set is actually higher than the factory speakers. But the sound profile has changed, not the volume. Where you should hear the win is definition: kick drum and bass lines separate instead of running together, and the midrange stays clean when you turn it up.
Three things that bring the low end back, cheapest first:
On the factory radio, try Bass +2 and Mid +1. These respond well to a little help and get sloppy if you push the bass control hard. If you're running an aftermarket head unit with an EQ, raising the level around 80–125Hz is the more precise version of the same fix.
If the EQ changes aren't enough, this is the next step. Honda door skins leak badly, and the back wave cancels the front wave right in the midbass. Foam behind the speaker and sound deadening material over the service holes will noticeably fill out the low end you're missing.
If you were after more bass to begin with adding a sub is your best move. Below about 80Hz no 6.5' door speaker is doing much regardless of tuning. A small powered sub under a seat fills that in and lets the doors do what they're good at.

fantastic plug and play system, couldnt be any clearer about what to do! i was searching for a few days for a plug and play upgrade including tweeters and this honestly is a unicorn of speaker kits. it sounds fantastic and gives excellent mid bass response, it sounds way clearer, brighter, and deeper than before, absolutely pleased! the tweeters fit right into the old spot without the brackets, though gluing them in will assure peace of mind. i definately recommend this kit for the front stage if youre rocking with the premium audio system
Definitely an upgrade!, everything is plug and play just as described, my only complaint would be the tweeters housing not being an exact swap
